The Amber Museum is organizing a lecture on precious stones setting on 20 April.

The event will be conducted by the museum's deputy director for research, art expert, candidate of pedagogical sciences Irina Toropova with the project "Jewellery Encyclopedia".

Various ways of stones setting and their expressive scope will be regarded. Works made by independent artists and masters of the jewellery houses from ancientry until today will be used as examples.

Requirements for cutting and setting of precious stones in jewellery pieces had been forming in the process of historical development of society and only in 20th century they gained individual, characteristic for a particular author esthetic language.
