On 15 December at 18.30, the lecture "Outstanding jewellers of the 20th century. Jean Michel Schlumberger" within the series of lectures "Jewellery Encyclopedia" takes place in the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum. It will be held by the museum's deputy director for research, art expert, candidate of pedagogical sciences Irina Toropova.
Jean Michel Schlumberger (1907–1987) is a French jeweller, who is famous for his work at "Tiffany & Co". At the world-famous firm, he gets an own studio, access to the unlimited supply of first-class precious stones and uncontrolled creative freedom. These circumstances help to reveal the potential of Schlumberger and he creates the most impressive designs in his career. He revived the lost technology of enamel application paillonné.
Ticket price to the lecture including visit of all Amber Museum's expositions on any day of the current month:
