Exhibition "The Time Connection"

On 26 June at 18.00, opening of the exhibition "The Time Connection" takes place at the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum. The exposition presents brooches, pendants, necklaces, diadems, rings, accessories created within the same-name project by masters of the jewellery group "Smolensk Diamonds" based on unrealized sketches of artists of the Carl Faberge Company from the State Hermitage collection. The exhibition is made in cooperation with the filial "Ruby" (Kaliningrad) of the OJSC "Yuvelirtorg" within the Sixth International Biennial of Amber Artworks "Alatyr 2015".

Among the realized project of the group "Smolensk Diamonds" aimed to strengthen and develop Russian traditions (collections "Hermitage", "Classics", "Ballet", "Russian Seasons"), works of the series "The Time Connection" are of a special significance. Turning to the history and traditions of the company, that made Russian art famous in the whole world, suggests the highest professional skills of specialists of the jewellery manufacturing of the company "Smolensk Diamonds". Such kind of work requests both fine craft skills and creative inspiration from the jewellers.

Partner in production of exclusive works is the Russian industrial group "Crystal" created in 1963 and soon become one of the world leading centers of diamonds manufacturing. It is this company that started the rise of diamond-cutting industry in our country and brought glory to the "Russian-cut" diamonds as unique quality standard. The "Crystal" enterprise located in Smolensk is equipped with the contemporary machines and, based on the most complicated technologies of diamonds working, reached the level of producing diamonds of the "premium" category.

The exhibition "The Time Connection" will be working at the Amber Museum only for one week – until 4 July.
