From 17 August the Amber Museum is presenting the exhibition of Polish contemporary jewellery art "Art7 Black Dress".

"Black Dress" is the latter conception of contemporary jewellery by the design studio from Gdansk Art&. Implementation of the black colour into the innate beauty of amber and adaptation of the designer solutions which are associated with luxurious adornments (diamonds, natural pearls) define the brand new design quality of this collection inspired by the achievements of the eminent fashion designer of the 20th century Coco Chanel.

As leader of the Art& jewellery studio, the artist Wojciech Kalandyk, mentions "since I had started working with amber, I was always amazed by the various impressions it makes depending on the way it had been treated. As today many goldsmiths from work with amber in the Baltic region, I questioned myself how to stand out. The Art7 studio from Gdansk has been searching for an answer for many years and is presenting the stone in exiting, fascinating and simple in use jewellery pieces. Unique design and experimental approach to our favourite jewellery material, amber, is result of the aesthetical search during many years. We draw inspiration from the ancient beauty of amber and modern design, architecture and fashion trends".

Works from the collection "Black Dress" have been exhibited in the Gdansk Amber Museum (Poland), the Amber Museum in Ribnitz-Damgarten (Germany), the Museum of Contemporary Art in London (Great Britain), the European Solidarity Centre (Gdansk, Poland),  ICKX Gallery (Brussels, Belgium), Palazzo dei Giureconsulti in Milan (Italy) at the international contest of jewellery artists Artistar Jewels Competition.

The exhibition will work until 16 September.
