The exposition will present jewellery, decorative and applied art works from the museum's collection that includes around 16000 depository units. This day it will be enriched with the new works of art: at the exhibition opening ceremony the non-profit organization "Charitable Foundation "LUKOIL" will donate to the museum unique amber artworks. The decision about donation was made by the foundation president Nelly Alekperova and director general of the organization Igor Beketov during their visit to the Amber Museum in September of this year. The guests were delighted with the museum's expositions, amber masterpieces and wished prosperity to the museum.
Enrichment of the collection with new showpieces is always a significant event as for museums, so for the city and the region.
Donations made by the "Charitable Foundation "LUKOIL" wiil have the central place in the exposition "Masterpieces of the Amber Collection". There will be also works made in 1990-2014 by the artists from Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Russia. These items were created both by the authors, who have experience in working with amber, and by those, who haven't known about its existence until quite recently.
One can safly say that amber unites people from all over the world: masters, experts and admirers of this amazing mineral – winess of the living past of our planet.
The exhibition will work until 13 December 2015.
