Programme "Winter Fairytale"

On 28 December, an interactive entertaining programme for persons who reached the retirement will be held within the project "When the Soul is Young".

On the programme:

• themed excursion through the exhibition "Old Doll's Charm";
• history of New year decorations and traditions of the Christmas and New Year celebration;
• workshop in making a themed souvenir.

The event starts at 16.00.

Last Wednesday of every month is a day of reduced-price tickets for persons who reached the retirement. On this day museum's workers conduct for senior people various interactive programs – workshops, quizzes, themed excursions, intellectual games. The programme always finds an active response by the museum's visitors of the senior age. People who took an active part in different spheres of public work, begin to feel excluded from the social life with aging. So themed interactive and creative programs are universal leisure activities which encourage self expression, reduction of social isolation, give the opportunity to socialize actively and get new knowledge and skills.

Interactive exploratory routs through the museum's expositions and playing forms engage participants in the educational process and common discussion of ways to solve the emerging tasks, which helps to train the memory, advantages intellectual activity and, of course, companionship.

At the workshops and creative sessions, making simple souvenirs, our visitors gain new skills and competence that, as we hope, will allow them to vary their evenings, get a new hobby or just create nice presents to bring joy to their close ones.
