Opening of the exhibition "Nevsky Perspective"

Since 18 September, a new exhibition "Nevsky Perspective" has been opened in the Amber Museum. There are works by Leningrad–Petersburg jewellery artists made during the period from the 1980s till nowadays.
Plexiglass, plastic, copper, paper, horsehair – it is a partial list of materials, which contemporary artists use to make jewellery. Not all the items are meant be worn, some can be considered as independent art objects.
At the opening ceremony, director of the Amber Museum Svetlana Zagrebina mentioned that the exhibition "Nevsky Perspective" shows the retrospective of works by classic artists from the Leningrad school of the 1980s – 1990s, turning into the perspective of Petersburg jewellery design.
Curator of the exhibition, jewellery artist Anna Tereshchenkova told that she aimed at showing the history of development of the designer jewellery within four recent decades. After the official part, together with jewellery artists Natalia Tarasova and Oksana Naumova she conducted a guided tour through the exhibition for Kaliningrad artists and guests of the ceremony.
