Opening of the exhibition "The Ball by Egle the Queen"

On Friday, 22 March opening of the exhibition "The Ball by Egle the Queen" took place in the Amber Museum. A collection of costumes and amber jewellery, sketches and paintings by the artist Elena Kolomiichenko (1961–2004) are presented there.
Haute couture collection "The Ball by Egle the Queen" was first shown by the author in 1992, it was created based on the motives of the Baltic legend of Egle the Queen of Snakes. Original white and black evening costumes of guests and the silver dress of Egle were hand crocheted, amber accessories are an important part of the costumes.
