On 15 October at 18.30 a lecture "Image of City and Architecture in Jewellery Art" within the lecture series "Jewellery Encyclopedia" takes place in the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum. It will be held by the museum's deputy director for research, art expert, candidate of pedagogical sciences Irina Toropova.

City… How many meanings, definitions and symbols we can put in this concept! Our perception and memory will "draw" images – as real, so fantastic ones of this amazing "accommodation" for life. Since ancient times architectural structures influenced minds of jewellery artists transforming their work in creation of "city landscapes".

At the lecture there will be mentioned not only names of famous architects working also with jewellery design, but also ones of the jewellers, whose creative work reflects interest to urban realm inconstancy, to dynamics of the modern life and image of the universal planetary City. Among these names will be Philippe Tournaire, Alessandro Dari, Sevan Bicakci. "Architectural" jewellery collections of the famous jewellery houses Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels will be presented in photographs.
