From 7 September the Amber Museum is going to present amber works dedicated to the contemporary appearance of Kaliningrad.

The exhibition takes place within the Eighth Regional Biennial of Amber Artworks "The Transformed City".

The Museum offered Kaliningrad craftsmen to dedicate their works to changes that happened in the city during the preparation for the FIFA 2018 World Cup. Themes of works could be the new or restored buildings, newly built districts, as well as natural landscapes of our region.

To express th urbanist theme the artists could use natural and pressed amber combined with any other materials. There are six categories: "I am from Kaliningrad!", "Best Creative Idea", "Best Serial Work", "Debut", "The Baltic Nature", "The Same Sky is Above Us" (for the memory of Yu.Ivanov, the oceanologist and scientist,  the public man).

Based on results of the contest, the Amber Museum will consider the possibility of purchasing works distinguished by the Jury for its collection.

Works by Kaliningrad masters will be exhibited until 7 October.
