Press Office of the Amber Museum

On 11 August a concert of the jazz quintet "Nuages" takes place as continuance of the project "Music Nights at the Amber Museum". The young musicians consider themselves followers pf the great French jazz guitar player Django Reinhardt, one of the founders of the jazz-manouche or gypsy-jazz style. This style, appeared in the 20th century, is mixture of the traditional gypsy music and jazz. The quintet consists of two guitars, a violin, an accordion, national Peruvian percussion instrument cojon, as well as other percussion attributes giving special sound to the music band. "Nuages" will play music pieces of their icon Django Reinhardt, Brazilian music in bossa nova style, as well as famous melodies of the songs by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
