Museum has chosen its amber beauty

Within the annual fashion-cocktail party for sponsors of the Kaliningrad Amber Museum, final stage of the third annual regional contest "Queen of Sambia" took place on 8 December. Five pretenders, who reached the finals, fought for the "royal title" and the opportunity to become "face" of the museum for a year. For that, girls had to win in various competitions, for instance, show strength and accuracy in archery in the Amber Museum's inner yard, which enable jury to realize, how the participants fit the image of warrior queen.
Alongside with the strong qualities, real "Queen of Sambia" ought to show her beauty. Which the girls had done, having walked the runway in clothing made of fur with amber. Fur fashion collection by Tamara Kireeva had recently come back to Kaliningrad, earlier it was exhibited at the National Cultural Heritage Show in Carrousel du Louvre, Paris.
Based on voting, winner in the category "Audience Choice Award" had become eleven-grader from Sovetsk Irina Becker. Grand prize and the crown hand-made by Kaliningrad designers was given to Olga Chepelevich. Student of the I.Kant BFU and future choreograph became "Queen of Sambia 2011" and won a trip to Paris to the Arts and Crafts Fair "Village Violet", as well as a whole range of presents from Amber Museum's partners.
