International Exhibition of Cultural Heritage

From 2 to 5 November there will be a prestigious International Exhibition of Cultural Heritage in France. In 2017 the exhibition organizers – Chamber of Arts and Crafts of France – conduct this event for the 23th time, it is aimed to show to the wide audience, professionals and admirers of arts unique objects, that are restored of made using old technologies and materials.

350 is a record number of exponents from different countries of the world – these are participants of the Exhibition 2017, which takes place in halls of Le Carrousel du Louvre. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Kaliningrad oblast, the Amber Museum will be member of the exhibition for the fifth time and present works of the stone-carving artist Konstantin Bushmelyov and of the creative association "Prussian Honey".

The creative manner of Konstantin Bushmelyov is a combination of the free interpretation of mythological plots, creative use of colour and texture variety of Baltic amber, turn to the classic forms of decorative and applied arts. The masterly skills in the mosaic technique, original artistic thinking allow the master to create unique art pieces.

"Prussian Honey" is a workshop of Kaliningrad artists, the main idea of which is contemporary interpretation of ethnic motives of the north-western Russia and people of the Baltic Sea. The whole production of the association, which is lead by the jewellery artist Lana Yegorova, is distinguished with its identity and originality, it is a bright example of preservation and continuation of esthetic traditions in the decorative and applied arts, which corresponds subject of the Parisian Exhibition.

Mission of the Kaliningrad delegation is to present Kaliningrad oblast as center of the artistic amber working, as well as to show one more time the beauty of the Baltic gem and work of artists, whose mastery, undoubtedly, deserves attention.
