It will be conducted by the museum's deputy director for research, art expert, candidate of pedagogical sciences Irina Toropova.
Suzanne Belperron (1900–1983) was one of the most talented and influential jewellery designers of the 20th century. basis of the artist's creativity was great stylist skills, appealing to aesthetical conceptions of the past and modernity. She created such designs that had been never used before in jewellery; for the first time she began to combine precious and semi-precious stones in one piece of jewellery and to use less fine gold (22 carats), which she called "virgin".
Before she started execution of an order, Suzanne Belperron studied the customer's style, morphology of his\her face, paid attention to the skin hues and form of hands. Like a high fashion designer, she always measured finger, neck and wrists circuits very accurately. For instance by ring making, she conducted several try-ons wishing to be sure that the piece of jewellery is fit in size.
Style of the Suzanne Belperron's jewellery artworks isn't influenced by time. The demand for them grows constantly.
