The programme "Power of the Stone" was held at the Amber Museum within the Night of Museums on 19 May. During the whole action we were receiving many positive feedbacks and gratitude from our visitors.

This year the Amber Museum put emphasis on showing its exposition.

On the first floor the exhibition "Unseen Objects" was opened only for a couple hours. Guests were able to see works of the 2–20th centuries, which have been never exhibited at the museum before.

Every 30 minutes museum guides conducted excursions through the main parts of exposition and the new exhibition of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine "Power of the Earth – Gift of the Sun". Guests were listening to it with great interest, asked questions to the guides and took photos. For the first time, the combine brought amber working equipment for the Night of Museums. A lot of people lined up to try themselves as amber masters.

There was a free photo booth in the inner yard this night, as well as a recreation zone was organized, where guests listened to the history of the Dohna Tower and enjoyed the fountain view.

The Cycle Quest was especially popular, it was organized by the Amber Museum for the first time. 200 persons took part in it, the whole distance – 20 km – around 100 finished to the end! Participants were very satisfied and asked in their feedbacks to make more such events. The bikers also mentioned that they found out a lot of useful information about museums and city sightseeings.

Next year we'll try to repeat out successful ideas and will surely come up with something new and big.
