"Perfect City"

On 26 March at 16.00, a lecture "Perfect City" is held for designers, artists, and at specialists in the Amber Museum.​ Lecturer – Irina Toropova, art historian, Deputy Director for Research in the Amber Museum, expert of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

"Perfect City" is an utopian model of human living space. The first one is known to us from the Dialogues of Plato – it is a city-state on Atlantis Island. Over the span of th humankind history, efforts to create a new social theory and a corresponding architectural model have not stopped.

In the modern culture, works of architects and sociologists continue to turn to this idea. Various concepts are created both practically, and theoretically.

The lecture starts at 16.00.

Admission – 200 rubles or by the museum entry ticket.

The lectures are held within preparation for the Fifth Russian Contest of Jewellery and Lapidary in Kaliningrad (22 June – 6 September 2020).
