For the Children's Day, the Kaliningrad Amber Museum holds the traditional contest of children's drawing and painting "The City I Live in". Children of the age from 6 to 17 years old are offered to tell about their city using pencils and colors – about its parks and promenades, yards and streets, monuments and houses. They can also depict a contemporary entertaining center or timber-framing house of the 19th century, a famous architectural monument or a calm place that is dear personally to them.

Authors of the best works will get prizes and diplomas.

Opening of the exhibition of the contest works and awarding of the laureates will take place in the Amber Museum on 1 June, within the festive programme "The Sun Circle".

The drawings and paintings can be brought personally or sent to the museum by post until 25 May 2016 on the address:
236016 Kaliningrad, Marshal Vasilevskiy Sq 1.
