"Firework of Creativity"

From 24 March to 23 April, the exhibition of works created by students and teachers of the Kaliningrad Art and Industrial College will work in the Amber Museum.

Interior objects inspired by Gorodets, Zhostovo paintings and other folk crafts, as well as jewellery will be presented at the exhibition "Firework of Creativity". It will be opened in the Amber Museum on 24 March.

Concept of the exhibition is to show items for decoration of a contemporary home. The museum's basement floor will be divided in seven exhibition zones: living room, kitchen, children's room, bedroom, study room, boudoir and home chapel. Visitors will see wooden clocks, caskets, coffrets, cooking ware, powder boxes, combs and icons there.

The most part of the exposition will be given to jewellery. There will be pendants, figurines, brooches made of brass with amber in modern techniques among them.

Authors of the works are students and teachers of the Kaliningrad Art and Industrial College, established in 1961. Today, the educational institution is one of the main ones in training specialists for the amber industry sector of Russia.
