On 26 August at 16.00, an excursion through the exhibition of the Third All-Russian Contest of Jewellery and Stone-Carving Art dedicated to the anniversary of Carl Faberge (1846–1920) takes place in the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum. In the exposition, there are around 500 works of 150 artists from 13 cities – Kaliningrad, Kazan, Kostroma, Makhachkala, Nizhniy Tagil, Rostov-on-Don, Rybinsk, Saint Petersburg, Togliatti, Tula, Ufa, Yaroslavl, Yekaterinburg.  

After the excursion, everybody can attend a lecture "Jewellery Glory of Russia. Carl Faberge". It will be delivered by the deputy director for research of the Amber Museum, art expert, candidate of pedagogical sciences Irina Toropova. 

Peter Gustav Faberge established a jewellery company in Saint Petersburg in 1842 and opened his first shop in the Bolshaya Morskaya Street. His son Carl Faberge brought fame to the company with the famous Easter souvenir eggs created for the Russian Royal family. In 1884, he was designated as a court jeweller, and his firm became the main supplier of the Cabinet of His Imperial Majesty.
