Baltic amber in the Carrousel du Louvre

From 2 to 5 November the prestigious International Exhibition of Cultural Heritage took place in Paris in Carrousel du Louvre. For 4 days the exhibition space was visited by 20 000 people by estimation of organizers.

Supported by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kaliningrad oblast the Amber Museum participated for the fifth time in the Exhibition and was the only representative of Russia among all exponents of this year. Museum's team told guests about the origin of amber and its properties and presented two Kaliningrad artists and their works – stone-carving artist Konstantin Bushmelyov and jewellery artist, leader of the creative association "Prussian Honey" Lana Yegorova. The masters communicated with guests of the stand, answered the multiple questions, demonstrated ways of Baltic gem working and offered everybody to try to polish amber using an old tool.
