Action for the Day of Russian National Colours

Annually on 22 August the Day of Russian National Colours is celebrated in Russia. Everybody who would like to can go up to the viewing platform of the Dohna Tower  by the reduced-price 50-rouble ticket, where on this occasion the Russian flag is going to be set up.

The excursion sessions take place at 12.00, 14.00, 16.00.

On 22 August 1991 above the White House in Moscow the three-coloured Russian flag was set up for the first time, replacing as a state symbol the red cloth with sickle and hummer.

On this day at the Special Session of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR it was decided to consider "the cloth of... white, azure and red stripes" official national colours of Russia.
