Exhibition of the contemporary artworks

On 15 February a reporting exhibition of Kaliningrad amber artists was opened in the Amber Museum. The masters featured their work created in recent years – jewellery, carved works, sculptural compositions and decorative panels. AT the opening ceremony the deputy director for research of the museum Irina Toropova mentioned that collective exhibitions of works by the artists from this section are held almost annually. Beside that usually the local masters take part in the all-Russian and international contests of jewellery and stone-carving art, which is very important for the development of such brand in Kaliningrad oblast as amber and works made of it.
