Kaliningrad exhibition works in Sochi at the time of Paralympiad from 7 to 16 March

In the pavilion with expositions of regions of Russia in Sochi Kaliningrad exhibition works at the time of Paralympiad from 7 to 16 March. Our region is presented with the unique collection from the Amber Museum and with works froom the Amber and Redwood Manufacture "Evelyanov and Sons'. 47 works from the 'sun stone' are shown: carved works, jewellery, amber-encrusted furniture, as well as big Baltic amber specimen.
Workshops in amber working are conducted by Kaliningrad artist Vladimir Makhankov. He also shows his works and for those, who want, he can polish 'sun stone' pieces that visitors of the exposition get as a gift.
Some members of the museum''s team Natalia Shevchuk, Ekaterina Mashegirova, Marina Golosova tell visitors of the exposition about origin and qualities of the 'sun stone', also about tourist, cultural and historical, recreational resaurces of Kaliningrad region.
Guests of the exhibitional stand mention the finest artistry of our masters, beauty of the Baltic gem. They say, they would necessarily plan a tour to Kaliningrad region, where pieces of the unique mineral that is 50 million years old can be found right on the beach.
