The plaque for the agreement about partnership between the Amber museum and «Dian’Arte Museum» (Borgo, Corsica) was placed in Kaliningrad Amber museum. The founder and chief of this museum is a french artist and sculptor, the president of the association for culture “ZENIT”, Gabriel Diana.
The representatives of the Kaliningrad Regional Government – deputy minister of culture Elena Koshemchuk and a head of the department of arts, museums and education of the Ministry of culture Marina Sergeeva, and men of the city cultural community took part in the ceremony. Elena Koshemchuk and Gabriel Diana were granted a right to open the plaque. Then the heads of the Amber museum and «Dian’Arte Museum» Tatiana Suvorova and Gabriel Diana signed a certificate confirming the status of “twin museums” for these museums.
As a reminder the plaque was placed in «Dian’Arte Museum» in Corsica on 17th of May. Next year the museums will exchange exhibitions as a part of the partnership. The articles from the amber museum will be exhibited in Corsica. The solo exhibition of the bronze sculpture with amber by Gabriel Diana will be opened in Kaliningrad.
The aim of the project is to promote the Kaliningrad region in Europe as the "Russian Amber Region", to expand the range of twin-museums, to attract attention of the public to them and to enrich cultures of Russia and France.
