The final lection of the cycle dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Andreas Aurifaber (1513–1559) - scientists and encyclopedist, doctor of Duke Albert of Prussia - took place in Kaliningrad Amber Museum on 12 December. In his book he systemized material that reflects interest to amber from positions of phisiophilosophy, mineralogy, medicine and pharmacy sciences of the 16th century.
Cycle of lectures within the priject "Amber in biography of the city" was organized by Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum with Kaliningrad Regional Scientific Library. Lectures were conducted by the head of the project, senior scientific researcheк of the Amber Museum, candidate of philosophic sciences Irina Polyakova.
Along with the final lecture "Amber in medicine science and pharmacia of Renaissance" presentation of the new edition of the monograph "Andreas Aurifaber (1513-1559) and his History of amber" took place on 12 December.
