Opening of the exhibition "Women like birds..." takes place in the Kaliningrad Amber Museum on 1 April at 17.00.
Birds come in spring and their jolly songs are all around. In this season as nature so women are blooming. And here is also 1 April - Fool's Day and International Day of Birds...So all these formed in an exhibition of the artist Igor Pashchenko (Kaliningrad, Russia) and creative tandem of two photographers - Dzintars Malkauss (Jurmala, Latvia) and Julianna Chernyavskaya (Kaliningrad, Russia).
Igor Pashchenko is a caricaturist, painter, artist of the regional newspaper "Kaliningradskaya Pravda". He was born in 1958 in Kaliningrad. He is inspirer and organizer of every caricature competition in our city. He is jury member of several international contests. Also Igor Pachtchenko is owner of a big number of vatrious prizes and awards, which he got in the international competitions of caricature in Bulgaria, Estonia, Italy, Germany, Poland, Spain and other countries. He is participant of the exhibitions of Soviet caricaturists in the USA (San Francisco, Seattle) and Germany. Works of the artist are in private collections of Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Holland, Khasahstan, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine.
Dzintars Malkauss is Latvian art photographer. He was born in 1962. He made his first photos with camera “Smena 8” in 1968. In 1986 he graduated from the Riga Technical University. . He learned how to make photos from Maris Kudzinš - one of the “pillars” of Latvian photography. Consistently he takes part in the international photo plein airs "Amber Breeze" and "Art Camp". He collaborates with the magazine "Avene".
Juliana Chernyavskaya is a Kaliningrad photographer. She was born in 1974. Main place of work is the Kaliningrad weekly “Grazhdanin”. She is a member of Journalist Union of Russia since 2009. She is also a bronze prize-winner of the regional competition “Journalist of the year - 2011” in nomination “Best photowork”. She has publications in the newspapers" Grazhdanin”, “Kaliningradskaya Pravda”, “Kaliningradskaya Vechyorka”, on the official sites of Kaliningrad Administration, City Council and in the media site of the first Kaliningrad discussion-club “AmberClub”. Women's images presented in the Amber Museum in the exhibition “Women like birds…” are made by author during the holiday performances and mass actions in Kaliningrad, Saint Petersburg and also abroad in Sopot, Pula, Rovinj and Venice in years 2012 and 2013.
