The traditional Students Friday – this time called "Contemporary Exotica" takes place in the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum on 27 November from 14.00 to 18.00.
The programme will begin at 14.00 with the meet-the-artist session with leader of the Kaliningrad dance studio "AMBER TRIBE" Marina Lyatun. She will tell visitors about the origin of the contemporary dance style with elements of ethnical Eastern dances and about development of the TRIBAL dance style. Everybody who wants will be given a possibility to make mehendi – art body painting with henna. The conversation will be followed with the history of costume and accessories as an essential part of a stage image and authentic and contemporary jewellery collection show from the AMBER TRIBE dance studio.
At 16.00 there will be a master class in marine rubble painting in pointing technique based on mandalas, mantra, yantra patterns. At 17.00 – performance of the dancers from the AMBER TRIBE studio accompanied by darbuka and jembe (drummer Vladimir Prusakov – member of the Kaliningrad band "Magic of the Rythm").
