Art Forging Plain Air took place

Closing ceremony of the Second International Art Forging Plain Air took place in the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum on 17 August. The plain air lasted from 13 to 17 August 2015. Masters from Austria, Lithuania and Russia – Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kaliningrad took part in the project.

At the plain air, a metal sculpture was created based on the legend about the Gauya Bird telling about origin of Baltic amber. Everybody could watch the blacksmiths working – traditionally, they worked in the open area in front of the museum's gates.

At the plain air closing ceremony and opening of the new museum object event participants were addressed by the head of the Department for Arts, Museums and Educational Activities in the Spheres of Culture of the Ministry of Culture of Kaliningrad Region Marina Sergeeva, director of the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum Tatyana Suvorova, curator of the project, main specialist in development of project and exhibition work Tatyana Lysova.
