Kaliningrad Amber museum took part in the XV International Museum Festival INTERMUSEUM 2013 that took place from 31st of May till 4th of June in the Central House of Artists in Moscow. The stand of the Amber museum was decorated with the images of the Baltic coast landscapes. There was the printing product issued within the framework of the publishing programme and the film about the sun stone. The real amber was presented by the production bundle of Kaliningrad companies.
The Amber museum was presented by director Tatiana Suvorova, deputy director Natalya Shevchuk, chief of design and development of exhibition work Tatyana Lysova, head of the information department Oksana Mashkova. They took part in seminars, lectures, meetings, discussion club, organized in the framework of the festival.
INTERMUSEUM 2013 — is a key event in the life of professional museum society of Russia and CIS, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, Union of Museums of Russia and International Council of Museums (ICOM). It is a discussion space, exposition Museum Guide, kids interactive displays and cultural programme for museum specialists, school and university teachers.
The main theme of the Intermuseum 2013 Festival is “Museum — Learning Resource of Society”. The business, cultural and competition programme included lectures, round-table discussions, devoted to the interaction of museums and educational institutions, the museum as a self-learning environment, the museum as the keeper of history. More than 250 museums from Russia, Europe and CIS countries presented their expositions and educational programs.
