Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum presented its virtual collection to the Children's Regional Hospital's patients within the social project "Museum in the Magic Book" on 25 November. The event was held with the support of the Charitable Center of Children's Hospital and Social Volunteering "I Believe in Miracle". Around twenty  children gathered in the playing room, where the specialist of the scientific-educational and museum-educational activities Marina Golosova made a lesson for them using special equipment.

The project 'Museum in the Magic Book" was created on the grant of the President of Russian Federation, which the Amber Museum won as laureate of the competition aimed to support creative projects of national importance in the spheres of culture and arts.

The virtual collection of the Magic Book includes photos of some showpieces from the museum's collection – amber samples, unique objects of the 17–19th centuries and special codes used for their threedimentional display. Such an interactive exhibition allows to have a close look at the 3D showpieces from the museum's collection, which are usually behind the show cases' glass or are kept in the museum's storage.

"The Magic Book" arouses interest both by children, and adults. Such presentation form is especially important for persons, who can't visit museum because of their health condition. In October 2014 within the social project "Museum in the Magic Book" the virtual collection was presented to the children with limited health abilities – participants of the project "Flowers of Life" realized by the Charitable Foundation "The Coast of Hope", in March 2015 – to the children from the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities "Childhood".
