On 25 December, the day of reduced-price admission for people of the retirement age, a guided tour at the exhibition of Russian silver artworks from the 16th – early 20th centuries from the museums of Arkhangelsk will be held in the Amber Museum.

Most part of the exposition are ecclesiastical items: embossed icon frames and their fragments – venets ( an applied halo on an oklad) and tsats (crescent-shaped pectoral decorations), as well as church plate – chalices, ostensoria, and lampions. There is also a not less valuable collection of household items from the 19th – early 20th centuries, that decorated home interiors: a writing set, candle-sticks, small vases, salt cellars, candy dishes, napkin rings. A collection of jewellery and accessories is an interesting addition to the exhibition.

After a themed tour, guests of the programme will take part in the workshop in glass painting "New Year Candlestick".

We would like to remind you, that meetings within the project "When the Soul is Young" take place every last Wednesday of every month at 16.00.

On the reduced-price day, tickets for people who reached the retirement costs 20 rubles (after showing the retirement ID).
