Concert dedicated to the S.V.Rachmaninov's creative work

On 20 September the music night "I'll go in search of my happiness..." takes place in the Amber Museum, where the vocal quartet "Amber Lyre" is going to perform. It consists of Irina Kriachkova, Vera Diakonenko, Marina Selivanova, Anna Alieva. The quartet, laureate of international contests, is going to play the programme, dedicated to the creative work of S.V.Rachmaninov,  "I'll go in search of my happiness...". On the programme are "Six Choruses for Women's (Children's) Voices" accompanied by piano forte, the famous romantic songs "Lilacs", "Spring Waters", "A Little Island", and other music pieces by the Russian composer. There will be a guided tour at the exhibition "Mi-Mi Moscow: "Smile":))" before the concert.

The concert starts at 19.00.

Ticket price – 300 rubles.

About the quartet:

The group was established in 2006. Members of the quartet are young, talented performers, graduates of the Kaliningrad Regional Musical College named after S.V.Rachmaninov singing in different choires in Kaliningrad: Irina Kriachkova (art director, soprano I), Vera Diakonenko (soprano II), Marina Selivanova (altoI), Anna Alieva (alto II).

From 2011 to 2016, the quartet was under the wardship of the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called, hegumen of which father Andrei Paskhin supported the music group.

The group participates in various city and regional events. They successfully go abroad with solo concerts and take part in different international festivals in Poland, Belarus.

In August 2012, the group became an owner of the silver cup at the VIII International Contest of Choral Art named after YIu.Falik "The Singing World"in Saint Petersburg; in November 2012 "Amber Lyre" won and receives Grand Prix at the XII International Festival and Contest of Choral and Vocal Art named after F.I.Shaliapin in Yalta, Crimea, Ukraine; in March 2013 the girls took the first place in the category "Academic Singing" and second place in the category "Folk Singing"at the International Contest Tallin-Fest 2013 in Estonia.

Repertoire of the quartet includes clerical four-voice music, authorial music, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, and other folk songs, a-cappella and accompanied jazz covers.
