"When the Soul is Young" in January

On 29 January, the day of reduced-price admission for retired people, we are inviting you to the interactive programme "Beauty of the Everyday Life" within the project "When the Soul is Young". Together with a museum's employee participants of the programme will make an invitation postcard, and also take part in a guided tour at the exhibition "Russian Silver Artworks from the 16th – early 20th centuries". There are ecclesiastical items: embossed icon frames and their fragments – venets (applied halo on an oklad) and tsats (crescent-shaped pectoral decorations), as well as church plate – chalices, ostensoria, and lampions. There is also a valuable collection of household items from the 19th – early 20th centuries, that decorated home interiors: a writing set, candle-sticks, small vases, salt cellars, candy dishes, napkin rings. An interesting addition to the exhibition is collection of adornments and accessories.

We remind you, that such meetings take place on last Wednesdays of every month at 16.00, when the day of reduced-price admission for retired people is announced (after showing the confirming papers).

The entry ticket price on this day is 20 rubles.
