"When the Soul is Young" in March

On 25 March, an interactive programme "Mezen Patterns" and a workshop in wooden spoon with amber painting takes place in the Amber Museum.

First, there will be a guided tour at the exhibition of Russian national costume from the private collection of Svetlana Lebedeva "Span, Waled, Embroidered...". Svetlana Lebedeva started gathering her collection of Russian traditional costumes in 2006. It includes both historical originals, and modern versions. She graduated from Moscow State University of Culture and Arts (2009), teaches in the S.Rachmaninov Kaliningrad Regional Musical College, she is leader of the Chkalovsk House of Culture.

Four years ago, she organised and has been leading an amateur association "Study of Russian Traditional National Costume". Svetlana Lebedeva is an admirer and indifferent descendant who gathers and keeps for the future generation  real samples of ethnographic costumes from various Russian regions that are already over 150 years old. The collection includes finest samples of old Russian costumes.

After the themed guided tour, guests of the programme will take part in an interactive sessions "Mezen Patterns", where the guests will paint on wooden spoons with amber.

The meeting starts at 16.00.

We would like to remind you that last Wednesday of every month is the day of reduced-price admission for people of the retirement age (after showing the documents). Ticket price – 20 rubles.
