"The Art of Jewellery Object"

On 24 June at 18.00 solo exhibition of one of the leading artists of decorative arts of Russia, member of the Moscow Union of Artists and Union of Russian Artists Gennady Lentsov is opened in the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum. The exposition "The Art of Jewellery Object" is organized within the Third All-Russian Contest of Jewellery and Stone-Carving Art.

The artistry of Gennady Lentsov is of a great significance for the creation of original jewellery art and artistic enamel. His every work is a unique piece that has no analogs neither in Russian, nor in foreign practice. In his works, the author uses successfully new materials and artistic methods, original ideas and forms, which are highly valued by specialists, art historians.

The key innovative approach of the artist is a new structure of works building that allows to create complicated organized cosmogonic spaces inside of objects, multidimensional, changing before our eyes spatial patterns, emotional states, latitude of associations and conceptual interpretations. The author gets to the brand new level of works rendering creating monumental in their tone and content forms within a small-scaled object. Absolute clarity and harmony of proportions are typical for his works.

Creative experience of Gennady Lentsov includes over 40 years. Works created by him successfully represented Russian art at the largest international exhibitions in Germany, France, Spain, Czechoslovakia, Italy, USA, Poland, Chain; they were distinguished with awards and prizes. Works of the artists are part of the main museum collections of our country: Armoury of the Moscow Kremlin State Historical and Cultural Museum Sanctuary, All-Russia Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art, State Historical, Architectural, Art and Landscape Museum-Reserve "Tsaritsyno", Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts.
