Free excursions through the exhibition of Alexander Krylov

Visitors of the museum will be able to see the unique collection of works made by the maitre of Russian amber art, restorer artist of the highest category from Saint Petersburg.
In 1981 Alexander Krylov with his colleagues founded a workshop for the recreation of the "Eighth World Wonder" – famous Amber Room. He worked on its recreation for 24 years, from the first to the last day, then he took the position of the Amber Room custodian.
Works of Alexander Krylov are famous both in Russia, and in the whole world. Admirers of the amber artworks recognize the individual style of the artist and his remarkable mastery. There are works that made him famous presented at the exhibition in the Amber Museum: amber violin – a functional music instrument, icons "The Trinity", "Boris and Gleb", George the Conqueror" for the prayer room above the George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, as well as sculptural portraits of historical characters.
The free excursion sessions start on 24¸25, 26, 27 October at 11.00.
Entry ticket to the exhibition should by paid.
Price of the ticket:
200 RUB – for adults;
100 RUB – for students, cadets and school students.
To those who are not able to take part in the free excursion sessions we remind that thanks to support of the Foundation "Development of Charitable Programs" (Saint Petersburg) the exhibition continues to work until 30 January.
