Anna Tereshchenkova and Oleg Tikhomirov are well-known jewellery artists, members of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, participants of numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad, participants and winners of jewellery contests.
At the exhibition, guests will see adornments with wood that became the visit card of Anna and Oleg long ago, for many years they have been developing the exhibition project GOODWOOD, that is totally about the use of wood in designer jewellery art and sculpture.
Wood is shown in its variety – black ebony and amaranth, ultramarine sycamore veneer sheet and toned maple wart of various hints. Combinations of wood with amber in brooches "Burial Hill" and "Autumn" are especially interesting and organic.
One can also see a variety of enamel techniques at the exhibition – hot art enamel,guilloche, cloisonne, stained-glass enamel. Despite the fact that enamel is a rather traditional material in jewellery, event in such a familiar technique Anna and Oleg manage to find a new sound, unexpected combinations and own ways.
"It is not a secret that creation of jewellery is under oppression of precious materials' high prices and conservative views. Luckily for jewellery artists, there are no such limitations, they are totally free choosing materials. Their choice depends on their will and fantasy", – mentions Anna Tereshchenkova.
