Exhibition "Amber Miniatures"

Since the ancient times, amber has been used to produce small statuary items due to its exceptional sculptural qualities, as well as unusual natural forms and texture. So in the 20th and 21st centuries, miniature carved sculptures hasn't lost its decorative significance in the amber art.

There are rather many small-size items in the collection of the Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum. Art works made in the 1960–2020s are presented at the exhibition composed of miniature items.

Objects featured at the exhibition, despite their small size, give the opportunity to cover a rather long period of history of the gem working in our country, they also reveal the unique beauty of the material, and attest to the mastery of Russian amber artists.
